Benefits of Membership

Mount Carmel Health Partners is a Physician Hospital Organization in Columbus, Ohio that is jointly owned by the Mount Carmel Health System and 1450 of its specialty and primary care physicians. The network also includes access to a Clinical Integration Program for all interested physicians.

As a benefit of membership, you will have an opportunity to participate in one or all of Health Partners’ 16 managed care agreements; including MediGold and Trinity Health Associate Health Plan at Mount Carmel Health System for a total of 19 products. These contracts represent approximately 200,000 covered lives in the central Ohio area. You will have the opportunity to accept or reject participation in each contract. At no time are you obligated to accept a payor contract. Health Partners monitors the performance of each contract. The review of each contract, delegated credentialing and validating reimbursement are a major advantage of membership. Each contract offered has been reviewed for ease of administration; to make certain they meet HB125 requirements; and to assure that they meet specific standards. All 16 payors delegate the credentialing/recredentialing functions to Health Partners, saving your staff time and the burden of repeating this process for each managed care payor.

Health Partners and the Mount Carmel Health Credentialing Verification Office (CVO) have worked to combine the credentialing process into one step. All new applications received by Health Partners will be reviewed by Health Partners for eligibility. Upon review, all required documents will be forwarded to the CVO for processing for hospital affiliation(s).
