Health Partners 2011 Credentialing Survey
Health Partners reaches out to member physician and their office staffs annually to determine how they feel about the credentialing/recredentialing processes. If you are a member of Health Partners, please take a moment to complete our 2011 credentialing survey. You will have to log-in to the Health Partners site to access this survey. Coding Updates for 2012 – Registration through December 5!
When: Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 8:30 am to noon
Where: Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Vance Learning Center (Maternity Pavillion)
Cost: $100 registration fee
Diane’s seminar will help your practice maintain compliance, code correctly and identify services for correct reimbursement. Coding changes for both CPT and ICD-9 will be discussed, and is applicable to all specialties. The seminar will cover the following topics:
I. Review of key CPT Code changes (all specialties) III. Review of ICD-9 changes (changes effective 10-1-11)
II. Key E&M issues for documentation, coding and billing IV. Look ahead to ICD-10 (coming October 1, 2013)
A continental breakfast will be served. Please dress in layers to allow for more comfort.

NCQA Diabetes Physician Recognition Program
Health Partners will once again be assisting primary care physicians become recognized by NCQA for high quality diabetic care. Health Partners will cover the costs of NCQA audits and will work with Health Partners physicians to complete and submit their audits to NCQA for recognition. Clinical Guidelines Developed
Four Clinical Guidelines were mailed to all Health Partners member physicians during in the fall. Clinical Guidelines are an important piece of Clinical Integration. In order to become Clinically Integrated, primary care physicians and physician specialists must work together using proven protocols and guidelines to improve patient care.
Four additional Clinical Guidelines will be mailed to your office in shortly after the New Year. Health Partners has developed Clinical Guidelines for Diabetes, Hyperlipidemia, Hypertension and Osteoporosis. These guidelines were developed for the patient-centered medical home project and for the post-fracture osteoporosis project.
New Payor Announcement: MultiPlan, Inc.
It is a pleasure to inform you that Mount Carmel Health System and Mount Carmel Health Partners have finalized a contract with MultiPlan, Inc. for its MultiPlan and PHCS PPO provider networks. The contract was effective October 1, 2011. Please contact a member of the Provider Relations team with any questions.
