2011 Health Partners- MediGold HEDIS (STAR ratings) Project
This initiative is focused on five quality measures that are a combination of preventive care and chronic conditions requiring ongoing treatment by Primary Care Physicians. It is anticipated that this will be a two-year project. The first measurement period for the initiative is between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011. The 2011 project measurement period focuses on measuring the process of care delivery. The results of the first year will be used to establish the baseline and goals for the second measurement period (January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012). Upon completion of the 2011 project and payout to physicians, eligible physicians will be notified of the details of the 2012 Pay for Quality project.
The selected measures include:
- Breast Cancer Screening
- Colorectal Cancer Screening
- Diabetic Eye Exam
- Diabetic LDL and HbA1c Testing
- Use of Spirometry
It is anticipated that improvement in these measures will, first and foremost, have a direct and positive impact on the quality of preventive and chronic disease care provided to our patients. Further, it is expected that our excellence in care delivery will be recognized in the healthcare community through MediGold’s publicly reported HEDIS Star ratings.
